Psalm 118:23 This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
The Sanctuary is a place where the preached Word is delivered. It is a critical part of our commission which entails teaching the doctrine of Jesus Christ which the early church called “The Apostle’s Doctrine.” Even further, they called it “The WAY.”
The Sanctuary is a place where people come to hear the Word, repent of their sins, submit to baptism exclusivity in the Name of Jesus, and receive His Holy Spirit. We learn here, grow here, and bring our friends and family for praise and worship. It is what we know as the House of the Lord or The House of Worship.
I know that Acts 2 and Acts 5 depicted the temple and each house as places of Word and worship. I also understand that church buildings are only a fraction of the ongoing work of the Kingdom. We are well aware of those who deny such structures are insignificant. However, I believe that this house has been ordained by God for the express purpose of reaching the lost. It is a place shared among many in the apostolic faith far beyond our borders. We are able to bless so many people and provide a place where fellowship and teaching can occur.
The south campus church – the school, the gym, the atrium, and the Sanctuary, all of it, has been by the Hand of the Lord. It was the Lord who provided for it and He ordained it. So I say, This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
Today we rejoice in the Lord as so many have sacrificed to make this possible. I honor the saints today. I give high honor to all who have given toward the building of these structures and I pray the continued blessing of the Lord upon you. We have come this far by faith and only through the favor of the Lord.
This is a day to be thankful! It is a marvelous thing. We are all witnesses of this great blessing and as The Mission moves forward, we will continue to give, sacrifice, and worship. All of this is based on the scripture which speaks to the keeping of the Name of Jesus and the Spirit’s direction.
Deu 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.
