Just so you know, Jesus is a greater Savior than we are a sinner!
The distance that He came to save us is unfathomable. The human mind can barely compute Deity to Dust:
Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death…”
1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Jesus saved us with His great love; reaching far beyond our temporal minds; spanning dispensations and tongues. His definition of love is lofty and pure. We have no such knowledge of such love, only minimal views and shallow depths. He saved us with His own blood. He was the slaughtered Lamb of God, Who suffered for sins He did not commit. This sinless man, God incarnate, became sin so that we would not taste death. He is a greater Savior than any iniquity ever committed. Oh what a Savior!
Of course this does not give us a reason to sin. Paul addresses the abuser of grace:
Rom 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
The misused of God’s grace may be common, but it is not permissible. While we are living in a moment of great grace and boundless mercy, there is coming a day when the Book will be closed and the Church Age will end. There will come a time when the catching away of the Bride of Christ will commence with the sound of the last trump of God.
But in this moment, you must know how accepting the Lord is to you. He cares about your every need. He is a forgiving God. He is a restoring God! All things are made new in Him!
I pray against the spirit of condemnation which wages war against our very soul. Yes, we should live above the fray of this world and “yes!” we are called to be set apart, pure and holy. At the same time, the heaviness of fear and failure is not of God. No one is good enough to enter into His presence. No one has inherent righteousness afforded them via birth. It is Jesus Who brings us in and makes us sit in heavenly places. Only Jesus. The Savior. He is a greater Savior!
