Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
The final moments of this dispensation will usher in an era filled with the reality of heavenly, spiritual wars. The Book of Revelation describes both the past and future judgment of Satan. John called him “the Devil, the great dragon, that old serpent.” The scene is dynamic in nature with a bombast of supernatural powers and the revealing authority of the infinite, unmatched authority of Jesus Christ.
In the narrative comes another description of the devil; “the accuser of our brethren.” This description is a resident spirit which exists in our day. The accuser speaks condemnation, discouragement, and doubt. It moves through people who allow themselves to be used of the enemy via gossip, innuendos, and what we once called, “the stirring of the pot” meaning not allowing issues to settle.
I wish it were not so, but often times church folk speak ill of one another thereby causing undo stress on the Body of Christ. This is nothing less than the spirit of the accuser working to divide the church. A divided church body has very little affect on a lost world. The spirit world relishes in disunity. The accuser spirit roams for a place to live; a voice to use. Paul addressed a portion of this matter in his letter to the church at Corinth, but he followed it up with the text above. If God be for us, who can be against us? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect?
The answers to these questions are critical. They must be declared and known. If God is for us, no person, spirit, or force can overcome us. Likewise, no one can lay anything to our charge! As long as we are walking in the Spirit; obedient to the Word; focused on the Kingdom; and actively witnessing by sharing the Gospel, there is no case that can stand. Take note: the enemy will try and a few will speak lies, but the Lord is on your side. Thou, O Lord art a shield for me, my glory and the lifter of my head! I will not be afraid of ten thousand because He is my refuge and my strength!
