He Knew Me

This writing may be a bit truthful for the average Christian. I want to warn you upfront just in case you decide to keep an anti-God opinion.

Both Pew Research and Guttmacher Institute provide the consequences of abortion in the United States. Since 1973, the legal practices of abortion have killed 63,495,781 babies. Most of the abortions today are for women who have either had one abortion or have already given birth. There are about 3,000 facilities which provide what is pleasantly called, “Reproductive Right Procedures.” The renaming of the murder of over 63 million unborn children seems to lessen the harsh rhetoric, making the practice more palatable for the American audience.

Abortion is the Holy Grail of the progressive left. Governments and its policies in their entirety shift on this single issue. Most of those who espouse abortion support a government which closely retains the right for the practice. The Christian community has been silent or disinterested for many years thus making it easier for the secular world to negotiate with the general public. Christians, who boast of Bible adherence, have such a limited knowledge of the scripture and are left unarmed in this conflict for human life.

Molech was a false god where babies were sacrificed – Lev 18:21. The debauchery of the ages always featured the human sacrifice of children. The Bible, God’s inspired Word, is clear about life before birth.

Psa 139:13-16  For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

“Unperfect” means not yet fully formed. “Substance” means frame or body.

Jer 1:5  Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Sadly, these verses and more are ignored and/or compromised by the mass of so-called Christians. The twisting of the Scripture has been on the rise in many such cases of sinful activities, but none more than the killing of the unborn. Rape and incest are the primary permissible arguments, though that number is just a fraction of the fraction of the percentage of the whole. Even still, murder is never a justified solution in order to solve a horrible travesty.

Science has equipped the non-believer with data declaring the unique DNA structure of the unborn. Two people exist: mother and child. As early as 6 weeks a heartbeat can be detected. At the midway point in pregnancy, the number of brain cells in the cerebral cortex increases rapidly which in turn produces brain waves. Emotions, feelings, pain, and joy are all found in the last trimester of the pregnancy. Unborn babies smile.

The callous nature of the modern day church, by necessity, must dismiss the Bible. If God’s Word was followed, most of the list found in Roman 1:28-32 would not be tolerated. However, gross distortion of biblical terms as grace, mercy, and love have removed the appropriate guilt from our choices. It is almost as if believers do not believe there are consequences for actions taken and this is only one issue.

Consider the raw, unabridged denunciation of sin by the Apostle Paul:

Rom 1:28-32  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I hope you did not skip over this scripture. Whether we read it, know it, or ignore it, we will all be responsible for it.

Acts 17:30-31  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Of course, I understand that some Bible readers will never know the truth. For instance, the interpreters of the NIV have scrubbed Romans 1:31. Again, here is Paul’s description of God’s judgement against mankind. The original verse is as follows:  Rom 1:31  Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

The New International Version has removed the words, “without natural affection.” NIV. Rom 1:31  they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

This phrase, “without natural affection” obviously calls out the actions of the LBGT community as a sinful practice. The absence of the Word results in a congregation void of truth; a diluted pulpit afraid of speaking God’s unadulterated Word. Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is judgement.

Consider the conditions of Egypt when a new king came to power. The wisdom and leadership of Joseph had been forgotten. The new pharaoh only saw the numerical increase among the Children of Israel. His fear of being overthrown led him to slaughter every newborn male offspring. The Egyptian mid-wives were ordered to turn over the babies to the sword of the soldier or the Nile River. It was in that atmosphere that Moses was born. Moses was called the Deliverer and the Lawgiver. He was the one whom God had chosen to lead them out of bondage. It was a distinct moment in human history.

The second time occurred when King Herod heard of the birth of Jesus. They called Him, “the king of the Jews.” Out of fear of being displaced, Herod ordered the massacre of every baby boy from birth to two years old. Jesus was the ultimate Deliverer and Savior. He was born into a world of death and blood shed.  His birth marked the greatest change on the earth.

Twice in history the murder of the innocent compounded until God intervened. The pivot point came at the height of murdered children; the senseless slaughter of babies. We are facing it once again, but this time will be the final end to the earth as we know it.

The World Fact Sheet declares that roughly 71 million babies are aborted worldwide every year. Millions of would-be doctors, inventors, scientists, teachers, physicists, writers, artists, and workers have been flushed down drains and thrown into plastic bags. Partial birth abortion is so vile that many attending nurses have quit assisting as they watch the struggling infant fight to survive; half in the womb and half out. Reports are numerous depicting the unborn struggling to escape the sterile claw grasping their small bodies. I hope you take that image with you into the voting booth.

Abortion is not safe and it is certainly not rare. It is only legal because Christians do not obey the Bible. It is common because the Church has compromised its morals for material possessions and promises made by carnal politicians. I’ll spare no Biblical view for the sake of feelings.

My writing alone may very well alienate some members. Nevertheless, the Word of God is far more important than religious ceremony. Christianity must return to the Bible in every area lest it grow comfortable in sin. We shall give an account for our lives. I feel the heaviness of the spirit of the age; the spiritual and emotional war against the people of the Name. The end of the Church Age is staring at us. I pray that we invest ourselves in truth, holiness, and godly living. The world clock is ticking. The signs of His coming are so clear. I just hope we are not so numb by other conversations and our own pursuits that we miss the moment of His final visitation.
