Wake Up

Rom 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

According to recent surveys, the modern American spends a majority of their time seeking or experiencing entertainment. Numbers vary but the general consensus is that most are in pursuit of the next thrill. Medical experts connect these entertainment endeavors to the brain’s natural release of dopamine, i.e., people are addicted to the “high.” Additionally, the purchasing of products invoke emotional responses. Last, but not least, political and social issues offer everyone something to feel passionately about, thereby expanding the categories of entanglement. The believer should be absent from this conversation. However, we know that church members have joined the ranks of these surveys. The result is a sweeping darkness, clouding our spiritual sight. Paul wrote it correctly, “it’s time to wake up.”

At the most pivotal point of Jesus’ life, He found His disciples asleep (Mt. 26:40). The cross lay before Him, but the disciples were unaware of His appointed time. The question remains: Do we know what time it is?

The acronym, MOSIP, stands for Modular Open-Source Identification Platform, which is a digital lD for the entire human race. MOSIP has already been tested and received. It makes sense for commerce, travel, health records, immigration, banking, and educational status. World leaders are embracing this one-world ideology in an effort to equalize nations; stop the advancement of war; and “deal” with the climate issue. An inserted chip is purported to solve human trafficking, adding to the moral argument for the platform.

The Church should not be surprised. We just need to wake up! John wrote of this moment 2,000 years ago.
Rev 13:16-18 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666.

We can be consumed by the world, or we can be in pursuit of the Kingdom. We can give ourselves to human ambition, or we can be engrossed in speaking the Gospel. However, we cannot do both. The signs of the times are pressing. The written, prophetic Word is unfolding before our eyes! Our passions must be centered around the things of God and our hands must be filled with the work of the Kingdom!
