Unleashed Spirits

Paul’s prophetic word to Timothy two thousand years ago resonates as if it was yesterday. He wrote of spirits unleashed in the world.
1 Tim 4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

John warned us not to believe every deceptive spirit. The Revelation depicts the moment when evil spirits would be loosed in the earth. These spirits roam the earth like frogs. The image speaks of debauchery and decay. The spirit of lust, pride, sexuality, perversions of humanity, and more have filled this 21st century atmosphere. Governments and sports are revered as gods. However, the worst of it is the worship and distortion of the human body; the creation.

Consider Romans chapter one. The find is profound. Mankind devolves with vain imaginations; animals are worshipped and people “dishonour their own bodies between themselves:”

Rom 1:25-32 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator . . . For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet . . . God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

We are living in fulfillment of the scripture. The gods and spirits have gone out throughout the whole earth as the prophetic time clock ticks toward midnight. Jesus said “the night cometh when no man can work.

The directives are clear: Work while it is day. Put away petty things and trivial matters. The night is coming! We must pray like we have never prayed. Seek the Kingdom above all other things. Teach the Gospel to every person and surround our families with the hedge of holiness. The window of opportunity to reach our city will not be open much longer. So be consecrated to the house of worship; stay disciplined in giving and serving; and finally, remain aware of the creeping darkness lest we are caught in a snare. Jesus is coming!
